A pharmer's clothes: February 14, 2012

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I will admit it, I totally love the sappiness of Valentine's Day. Any excuse to A) hang out with the person you love, possibly over yummy dinner or B) eat chocolate without regrets is a win in my book! Sadly, Jason and I aren't celebrating today; he has class until late and I have to tutor. We are celebrating this weekend instead, when we will also celebrate my seminar being over! OMG YES SO SOON!!! I present at 4pm today and I am pretty nervous, but mostly just excited to be done with it. I think excitement trumps nerves today. Score!

(( top: Jason Wu for Target / shorts: Urban Outfitters / shoes: Seychelles / Purse: Target ))

These pictures are a bit of a fail. Poor little point and shoot camera. It really does not like reds - they always come out so over-saturated! And then these pictures were taking on an overcast day, and my camera is also not a fan of low light, hence the blurriness. But you've gotta work with what you got, right? I don't even mind the blurriness too much. I mean, who doesn't love blurry pictures where it looks like your hand has disappeared? Good stuff.

  2. Happy Valentine's Day to you too! I love a day where you can eat chocolate without regret! Loving the outfit (and I am not a big fan of red either) especially with the neon purse.

    1. Thanks!! The purse is from Target. Possibly the best thing I have bought in a year. Target = love.

  4. Hi Hannah!
I just found your blog looking through "This is what a scientist looks like". I love your looks and your interest in fashion, I'm a girl studying science too and I hate the stereotype that scientists don't care about looks!
    Greetings from a future astronomer!

  6. Love the red, these two pieces together look like a cute little jump suit. And the kiss necklace is darling. Happy valentines, hope this weekend has some awesome plans in store for you.

  9. Beautiful combination of red. I thought it was a playsuit at first. This is such a sweet look.

    1. I love it! It has some bonus zipper/organizing pockets inside. Perfect. Not too sturdy though...it's already looking less than pristine. But for something so trendy and cheap I can't complain!

  12. What a lovely look for Valentine's day! Even if Jason and you couldn't celebrate the actual day, I'm glad you could at least go out this past weekend.

  13. Your hair is curly! And it has bangs! My goodness, it's so lovely! My hair is super curly, too, and I've been considering for the longest time getting bangs, but I've been afraid they'd look strange with curly hair. How do you manage with your bangs, because they're adorable!

    1. Thank you!!! Bangs + curly hair is always a hassle. My hair is kind of weird and it is really not curly on the top at all, so I just blow dry my bangs and they stay pretty straight. Except in the summer of course, when the heat and humidity makes them a crazy, cowlicky mess! Oh well, I still think bangs and curly hair is an awesome look! If you are looking for some more inspiration, here are some other bloggers I've come across with bangs & curly hair:

Delightfully Tacky (her hair is much curlier than mine, so she wears her bangs curly a lot...super cute!)

    2. Thank you so much for this! They (yours included) have such beautiful hair that doesn't seem to ever get frizzy! My hair's texture is more like Megan, where some parts are ringlets, and then others are just little strange straight strands of hair. All of you look so beautiful with bangs and curly hair, so I think I'll try it!
